FPLXI vs Fantasy Football Scout
Fantasy Football Scout is where the FPL community has argued about transfers for well over a decade. FPLXI is a much smaller thing: a model that tells you what your squad should do next, and a public record of how often it was right.
No card required · Free team rating from your FPL ID · Prices and features checked August 2026
Scout's Chief Scout membership is a genuine institution. Rate My Team projections, an Opta-backed stats centre, predicted line-ups, DefCon data going back years, two transfer planners, a captaincy matrix, hundreds of members-only articles, elite manager reveals, a daily podcast. When we checked it was £10 a month billed monthly, or an annual plan discounted to £50 against a £120 list price, renewing until you cancel. Its free team rating is one of the best-known entry points in FPL.
FPLXI does not compete with any of that. We have no writers, no podcast and no forum. We have one model that predicts each player's points five gameweeks out, an optimiser that turns those predictions into your best legal XI, captain, bench and ranked transfers, and a public accuracy record. One payment of £19.99 covers the season.
Scout is where you go to understand FPL. FPLXI is where you go to decide.

Fantasy Football Scout is not our product and its plans change. Checked August 2026, so verify anything that decides your purchase.
Stay with Fantasy Football Scout if
- You enjoy the research: stats tables, xG, DefCon, predicted line-ups, team reveals.
- You want to learn FPL properly rather than be told what to do this week.
- The community and the podcast are part of why you play, and a monthly membership is fine.
- You need breadth beyond FPL. UCL, EFL and the rest are all covered.
Pick FPLXI if
- You have twenty minutes a week and want the best available move.
- You want a published accuracy record instead of trusting a projection blind.
- You would rather pay £19.99 once than hold another auto-renewing subscription.
- You want captain, bench order and transfers solved together, not judged separately.
Moving across
There is nothing to export. FPLXI reads your squad from your FPL ID, or a screenshot, and gives you a rating and a ranked move straight away. Plenty of people keep both: Scout for the stats and the reading, FPLXI for the decision. We will never match the depth of Scout's stats centre or its community, and if you like doing the analysis yourself then Scout is the better home for that. That is a real limitation of ours, not a recommendation.
Questions people actually ask
Is FPLXI a Fantasy Football Scout alternative?
For the decision part, yes: rating your squad, projecting points, picking transfers, captain and bench. For stats research, community and editorial, no. Scout is far deeper there and we do not try to compete.
How much does Fantasy Football Scout cost?
When we checked in August 2026, Chief Scout was £10 a month billed monthly, or an annual plan discounted to £50 against a £120 list price, renewing until cancelled. Their pricing page is the source of truth, so verify it before you decide.
Both have a free team rating. What is the difference?
Scout's free rating projects your squad. Our free tier rates your squad and gives you one full recommendation refresh per gameweek: a suggested transfer with the reasoning spelled out, plus a sandbox for planning future moves.
Can I use both?
Plenty of people should. Scout for team news, stats and the podcast. FPLXI in the hour before the deadline for the ranked move, the captain and the bench order.
